The McHenry Dentists, Dr Laura Adams and Dr. Tom Kaczynski wish you and your family a very Happy Easter holiday!
Fluoride in mouth wash can help protect your child’s teeth from cavities. The American Dental Association (ADA) has awarded several oral rinses their ADA Seal of Acceptance. These products were found to be effective in helping to prevent and reduce tooth decay, when used as directed.
The McHenry Dentists recommend fluoride rinses that have the ADA Seal. Fluoride rinses, when used with regular brushing and flossing, will help prevent cavities.
How do fluoride rinses work?
Rinsing with a fluoride mouth wash helps to strengthen the outer surface of teeth called enamel. This fluoride fortified enamel will help prevent cavities from forming.
When should a child use a fluoride rinse?
Fluoride rinses are not recommended for children under age 6. Follow the directions on the label or the directions given by the staff at The McHenry Dentist.
Which fluoride rinse should I buy?
